Company

Engineering close to the business.

Baybloom Software builds custom software for growing companies with complex operations: a small senior team, the latest AI tooling, and no layers between you and the people writing the code.

Who we are

A senior engineering team, close to the business.

A small team of extremely talented developers with decades of software experience leads every engagement. We use the latest AI tooling on every task, so we move quickly without cutting corners. Our team has built software for enterprise companies, technology startups, and multi-location service businesses.

We bring application development, customer experience, and systems work into the same conversation. The starting point is always the business task: what people need to accomplish, what gets in the way, and what a useful improvement looks like.

Our work

What we believe

Software should fit the business, not the other way around.

Three convictions that shape every scope, every release, and every conversation with your team.

Start with the work, not the tool.

The workflow, the people doing it, and the systems around it come first. The application is designed around them, never the reverse.

Fast does not mean fragile.

Every release includes tests, a security review, and documentation. Speed comes from senior engineers and AI tooling, not from cut corners.

Dependence is not a business model.

Systems are documented and handed over cleanly, so your team can run them without us. We keep working with you because it is useful, not because you are stuck.

What we ship

Operations software and customer portals, as we build them.

Two of the applications we design and build, shown with generic data. The board runs the field operation; the portal is what the customer sees.

Illustration of an operations application built by Baybloom: work orders moving from request to completion, a quote approval, and a field update on a phone.

Operational software

Illustration of a customer portal built by Baybloom: a customer submits a service request with location and photos, and sees it assigned and scheduled on their phone.

Customer platforms

What we do

Four ways to engage the team.

Operational software, customer platforms, systems and automation, and product engineering. Most projects touch more than one.

How we work with you

Start with the work your business needs.

Define the right application, deliver a focused project, or continue improving the software your team already relies on.

Define

Discovery and a clear scope

Work through the business problem, the existing systems, and what a useful first release needs to do.

What the work can include

  • Map the workflow with the people who use it
  • Identify roles, exceptions, and system dependencies
  • Explore the application through screens or a prototype
  • Define priorities and a practical delivery plan

Best when: The problem is clear, but the application and delivery scope still need definition.

Build

A focused software project

Design and build a defined application or workflow, from the first useful task through rollout.

What the work can include

  • Turn business requirements into working software
  • Connect the application to the systems it depends on
  • Review progress against agreed acceptance criteria
  • Prepare testing, migration, and release together

Best when: You need a partner to deliver an application or a substantial improvement.

Improve

Continued engineering

Keep developing the software as your business, users, and connected systems change.

What the work can include

  • Prioritize improvements against business needs
  • Extend workflows and develop new capabilities
  • Maintain integrations as their dependencies change
  • Address reliability and product feedback after launch

Best when: The software is in use and needs ongoing product and engineering work.

How we work

What you can expect from us.

Senior engineers on every project

The people on the first call are experienced engineers who design and build the system, so context stays with the people doing the work.

Scope and price in writing

Before development starts, the workflow, first release, acceptance criteria, and price are agreed in writing, so both sides know what is being built.

Tested and reviewed releases

Every release ships with automated tests, a security review, and updated documentation, and engineers review and remain accountable for every change.

Documentation and clean handover

Systems are documented for users and engineers, handed over cleanly, and supported with continued engineering whenever the business wants it.

Questions

Questions about working with Baybloom.

What companies ask before the first project.

Who will work on our project?

You work with the same small senior team you meet on the first call. The engineers who ask about your workflow are the engineers who design, build, and release the system, so decisions and context stay with the people accountable for the result rather than passing through layers of handoffs.

How do you use AI in development?

We use the latest AI tooling on every task, from reading existing code to drafting tests and implementation. Engineers review every change and remain accountable for it, and each release still carries tests, a security review, and documentation. AI speeds up the work, and engineering judgment decides what ships.

How do you communicate during a project?

You have direct contact with the engineers building the system, regular reviews of working software against the agreed acceptance criteria, and written updates on progress, decisions, and open questions. Changes to scope are discussed and written down before they affect the plan, so the state of the project is always clear.

What kinds of companies do you work with?

Our team has built software for enterprise companies, technology startups, and multi-location service businesses. The common thread is a business that depends on a workflow, a customer experience, or a system that standard tools serve poorly and that is worth building properly.

What is the first step toward working together?

Tell us what needs to work better, through the contact page or a short call. We ask about the workflow, the people involved, and the systems around it, then come back with a proposed scope and first release plan. Development begins once scope and price are agreed in writing.

Let’s build something that lasts.

Tell us what needs to work better.
We’ll come back with a scope and a first release plan.
